Fortran FriendsFortran Friends is a 'self-help' group of Fortran programmers using RISC OS systems mainly for running scientific programs. We offer support for Fortran programmers on RISC OS computers and the porting of Fortran applications to the RISC OS platform. We are investigating the free compiler GNUf77, and will make a front-end and set of libraries if there is sufficient interest and as soon as the worst compiler bugs have been corrected. We prepare camera-ready copy of scientific texts for publication; for example, the 3rd edition of the classic The 59 Icosahedra. We have developed several applications in Fortran, shareware or demo versions of which are provided on this CD and on our Web site. Other interests described on our Web site, with examples of RISC OS code, are:
